Day 130 Still waiting......

Sorry no post today.  Still waiting on a battery charger.  Are you all crying yet?

Day 129 Happy Mother's Day!

I still have no camera *insert tear here*    I know you are all so upset because you don't get to see a picture of my fabulous Mother's day gifts.  When I actually  manage to translate the card Xander made me I will be happy to share it with you.  I did decipher something about mommy is a pretty as the clouds and as happy as a bunny.......I think he maybe just looked around for words he knew how to spell.  LOL

My morning started out coming down stairs to Ty puking up yogurt everywhere, Xander cranky and screaming from being overtired, and Dylan standing there naked claiming he had no clothes to wear. 

Oh the life of a mom........where is Daddy during all this?  Making me a wonderful mothers' Day brunch?  Out buying me a great present for doing such a wonderful job with his children?   Nope, don't I wish.  He was up in bed after just working all night.  I was on my own for the day.  He did however wake up just in time to come into town with me to do groceries.  Well he went to Tim Horton's and I went to the grocery store myself.    Someone remind me of this when Father's Day comes around next month.

So while I was at the grocery store I got the idea that if I bought some new batteries for Xander's camera I could use it for the week.  Better than nothing right?  HAHA  Xander would have none of it.  The batteries in his camera died about 2 weeks ago and he has been asking for new batteries for 2 weeks.  I was not getting near that camera :(  So I will show you his pictures instead.   He was practicing on flowers again, but getting frustrated outside because he couldn't step into the neighbours flower bed to get a close up picture of the tulip.  So I suggested he try on my flowers instead.   Not bad for an almost 7 year old.......

Day 127 & 128 I may actually cry

I never thought I would have a possession that I would LOVE so much I would cry if it was gone

My kids....yes would definitely cry over one of them being gone.

*Well only if they were gone longer than a few days....a few days away would be nice*

My dog being gone......yup would cry over that

My husband.....yup, even him!

But a possession?

 No way, I couldn't possibly love an inanimate object so much

Then the UNTHINKABLE happened

I lost the charger for my camera battery.

*gasp*

*tears*

*sobs*

I am wandering around unsure what to do with myself

What on earth happened to me?

So no pictures.....*crying*

Yes you can laugh at me now if you wish but this is a very traumatic event in my life

A new one has been ordered, just have to learn to live without a camera at my hip for another week *sob*

Day 126 New class

Tonight I started another photography class.  This one is a little more advanced than the last one and the teacher is fabulous.   Unlike my last class this one is at the college and we have the computers in front of us for editing and taking pictures in class.  There is only 6 of of us in the class and I think it will be a great experience.  Tonight we started a lesson on black and white photography.  Since it was the first night we all changed our cameras over to monochrome and took the pictures in black and white instead of editing after.  This was so we could try and visualize the tone of what we were taking, and what it would like in B&W.  It was fun walking around trying to find things in the classroom that would have good tone to them.  I think I will enjoy this class and its always nice to get out of the house for 3 hours by myself once a week!  

In other news......this may be my last post for a bit.  My battery is dead in my camera and I have searched the house high and low and can not find my charger :(  I took it to Ottawa with me for the wedding and have not seen it since.  I remember grabbing it and sticking it in a bag when we left the hotel but can't find it now.  Hopefully I find it soon since I have no way of taking any pictures for class if I don't, and there is no way I can get another one before next week.

Day 125 Happy Mother's Day to me

As much as I love the handmade cards and gifts my boys make me at school, sometimes a girl needs flowers

So I bought my own :)

The boys told daddy they wanted to get me flowers for Mother's day so I went and got a potted mum,

then they 'gave it' to me.

They were very proud of themselves for getting mommy such pretty flowers.

Day 124 Boys and their Toys Part 2

I guess my boys were bitten by the northern bug on Sunday...Bill found a guy in town selling a used mini-bike and little 50cc four wheeler and got them for the boys for their birthdays.  Xander's birthday is not for another month and Dylan's is in 3 weeks but we got a deal so they got them early.    He is going to cause me to go gray very prematurely at this rate.  They are touching them till they get FULL protective gear......can I buy body armor for a five year old?

Day 123 New Shoes

I have a horrible cold.....

So I thought some retail therapy would make me feel better

A girl can always use new shoes right?

Well I am still stuffed up but my feet look good :)

And I had to buy Kleenex anyway.....
