Day 19 part 2 Full Moon

I already posted my pictures for the day but  I am adding an extra.   It's a full moon tonight and I wanted to go play so I grabbed my tripod after putting the kiddos to bed and went outside.

It is currently -29 degrees Celsius and my tripod is metal.  I think I may have a few parts of me that have some frost bite!   I still haven't quite perfected getting the exposure right for moon shots.  I either over expose or underexpose.  My moon usually looks like a big ball of light and I can expose for the other stuff, or my moon looks good and I can't see anything else.  So for this shot I took 2 different shots.  One exposed so I could get the details in the moon and the other so I could the details in the clouds around it.  I still think it looks a little fake, but I haven't figured out how to get to look good any other way yet.

Oh well, I froze, my fingers are still numb, but I got lots of practice bracketing and using my evaluative metering :)

This is really nice. I especially love the detail you were able to achieve on the moon.

This is beautiful! Very Thriller-ish. Love it! I can't take pictures of the moon to save my life. I don't know if I don't have the right kind of lens or if I just suck at it. I think it's the latter. LOL

wow! You're moon photo is beautiful! I was trying to capture the moon lately, but you got it on the right day. Here where I live, it's been a little too dreary to see lately! Great job!!
