Day 34 New workflow

I have been struggling to find a good workflow in photoshop for awhile now.  I think I may have finally  figured out what I like to do and what I don't like.   Sometimes I swear editing the pictures is harder than taking them! 

Today I had to redo a few pictures I took of Ty since my father asked for matching ones of the kids to put in frames.  I had taken plain pictures of Xander and Dylan on the white background sitting on the red chair but for Ty I used all Valentines props. So today we set out to take a non Valentinish picture of Ty. 

The taking of the pictures I don't have a problem with, but editing after to make them all look the same is where I run into difficulty.  I tend to edit one picture one way and another completely different.  Which doesn't really bother me but for people who want all their pictures to match I can see how it can be a problem.  Today I was bound to figure out a way to make them all match.  I learned how to batch edit on Lightroom.  That helped a LOT with white balance issues.  Then I set out to do the same type of edit with each picture. 

This was going great till I got to the last picture which I decided to go just a little different. on........it's my photo of the day :)

Joy of LOVE Day 3

Now and Then

For today's assignment I used my youngest son Tyler.

Here is at 2 weeks old....please excuse the bad picture.  This was before I did photography and I had a point and shoot. And a picture from today :)

Day 33 Peaceful Sleep

Don't you just LOVE when you get a little break and the kids nap?  

Ty fell asleep on the couch with his head on his pillow pet today.  Today's assignment from The joy of LOVE  How they look.   

This is how Ty looks when he is napping.  So cute and peaceful.  Then he wakes up........LOL

Day 32 Starting the Joy of LOVE

For the next 30 days I am going to base my 365 photos around THIS project.  The joy of LOVE!  For all you 365'ers there is still time to join in on the fun!  

Today's assignment was What they do  

This is what Dylan has been doing everyday when he gets home from school. 

He got a new Lego Batman game for the Wii.  

I am surprised he even took his eyes off  long enough to look at me!

Day 31 You want to take my picture?

*What's that mom?  You want to take my picture?*

*But  I am playing on a giant snow hill and its -30c outside.  I don't want to pose for you and face the right way in to the light.*

*It's okay that your fingers are getting frostbite trying to take a good picture,  I'm just going to make weird poses.*

Well THANK YOU oh son of mine.  it was worth it just to have this for blackmail when you go on your first date :)

Day 30 Hooch

Not much happening around here today.  I was up at 5:30 am to drive an hour to go for an MRI on my neck.  Scariest thing I have had to do in awhile.  Not because I was afraid of the results, but more of being stuffed into something the size of a small locker for half and hour!   That was a little unnerving.    

So now I am exhausted and the kids are running around acting like little monsters.  Not that my perfect little angles would ever be bad......LOL  They are just rambunctious from being stuck in the house since its too cold to go play outside.

My picture for today is pretty boring.  This is my dog Hooch.  A friend suggested I take a picture of him since I had not done so yet.  Watch out tomorrow it may be a picture of my cat!  LOL

Day 29 Brotherly LOVE!

What can I say,  they LOVE each other...sometimes.
