Welcome to my crazy life. Once again I am attempting a 365 project, one picture every day for a year. Comments and feedback are always welcome. Thanks for stopping by :)

Day 141 Camping season is open

Victoria Day weekend signals one thing in the north.....its fishing time!  It also means the boys get to spend time at the lake where their grandparents and lots of other relatives all have campers parked.

A little fishing (no boat tonight) and some marshmallows make for some happy boys :)

And of course I took a few more before the blackflies got to bad.

This one kind of reminds me of a certain dwarf from Snow white....

And here he is shortly after covered from head to toe in white sticky sugar.

OOOO I want more of those!

Day 140 aCrazy Kids!!!

At one point today there were 17 children in my backyard...the oldest was my own almost 8 year old.  I was actually considering turning towards my van and running to it keys in hand as fast as I can to get away.

Okay it really wasn't that bad and Dylan had a blast with all his friends.

Cupcake decorating with candy :)

What fun is a party without a bounce on the trampoline?
Pigtails flying and all!

Dylan and Chloe sitting in a tree....... Melissa might be my sister in law some day :)

All the other pics of these two involve Chloe pointing a finger at Dylan telling him he had to smile nice so she could have a nice picture with him....he obeyed :)  LOL

Pinata?  I'm not sure how many kids managed to hit Bill with the hockey stick while he directed them towards the thing but I think this may be the LAST pinata at our house!

Day 139 Busy Busy

I am really starting to mess up this 365 thing.  I think by the end of it it will be more project 355.

So today I spent the day running around trying to get all my shopping done before the stores closed for the long weekend, get all the stuff together for a birthday party tomorrow and then finish off with my Zumba class that night.  Then after Zumba I was up until 1 am making cupcakes for the birthday party.

Okay sob story over...but I didn't remember to take a picture.

Day 138 Birthday pie

Dylan did not want  a birthday cake this year.  He is not very fond of cake and really doesn't like most kinds of icing.  His choice for his birthday dinner consisted of french toast, breakfast sausage and pumpkin pie for dessert ( no whip cream pwease mommy)

So this mommy filled his request and he had a pumpkin pie with 6 birthday candles.

Day 137 Dylan ♥♥

My baby turns 6 tomorrow.

Where did all those years go?

Now it is all I can do to drag him outside to take his birthday pictures.  He HAD to bring a snack with him in the van tonight in case he got hungry with all the modeling he had to do.

What does he grab?  An egg.

I had made hard boiled eggs to go in our salad tonight and there were leftovers.  He brought one with him on the road.  When the pictures were done he asked for his egg which I had stuck in my camera bag for safe keeping.  I went to crack it to peel off the shell and discovered that just because he will be 6 tomorrow does not mean he is a whole lot smarter.

The child grabbed the egg from the carton instead of one of the boiled ones.  It smashed all over me!  Well at least it didn't break inside my bag ;)

So without further ado I give you Dylan....my soon to be in a few hours 6 year old!

Day 136 Puppy Treats

I went to the store to get dog food today and decided to buy the boys a little treat.  My boxer hooch smelled the contents of the bag as soon as I walked in.  He managed to completely devour his pigs ear in less than ten minutes.  So fast in fact that by the time I had my camera out his was gone.

The puppy Harley on the other hand wasn't to sure what it was I was giving him. He kept running all over the house with it in his mouth waiting to see if I was going to scold him for chewing something he wasn't supposed to!

He managed to keep it for over an hour before Hooch got a hold of it, then it was gone in minutes.

Day in between

I had already posted my Day 134 picture but then I went out last night and took this.  It's not Day 134 or 135 but more of an in between.

The big tall thing in the background is a headframe. It's what holds the cage (big elevator) that take the men and equipment underground into the mine. *I think*  Don't quote me on that, I'm just a miners wife who really doesn't listen well when my husband tries to explain these things to me.

Not because I don't care....more like not wanting to know so that I don't worry as much when he goes to work.  I like to pretend his job is not dangerous......till he comes home and tells me what size of rock fell on his head that day.  *not a big fan of that*

This is not the mine that he works at.  This is the one about 2 km from our house that blasts everyday at 5:30 pm and causes all the windows in my house to rattle and makes me think something is exploding.  Oh what something is....thankfully it's a few km away :)
