Day 7 {Dog's life}

Today's post is short and sweet. Well maybe not sweet, more like ugly?  Yup I admit it my dog is UGLY!  Hooch has a tendancy to lie around with his tongue hanging out.  Today was no exception,  using a bag of clamps that was on the couch as a cushion here he is taking a nap, tongue out and snoring.......then stares at me for disturbing his nap by taking his picture!  LOL  Oh the life of a dog :)

Day 6 {Follow the instructions!}

 Xander got  GT snow racer from Santa and it was still sitting in a box until this morning.  I decided to stop waiting for bill to find time to put it together and do it myself.  It started with a trip through a 4 foot snowbank to the shed to get a wrench.....and then Ty decided not to nap today and help :(





As you can see he wasn't much help.....












So an hour later after looking at the instructions about ten times trying to figure out what to do with the piece they DID NOT give instructions for, I got it all together!

Last night Bill came home with my backdrop stand that finally came in the mail!  So today I decided to try it out.  After a quick trip to Canadian tire to buy some clamps ( Thanks Shannon!) I was good to go.  Unfortunately by that time I had lost all my good natural light and had to try out my new lights.  Needless to say I got lots of shadows and have some work ahead of me figuring out how to do this right.  It would also  help if my children actually liked having their  picture taken.  Oh well they better get used to it!  Here is my first attempt with continuous lights and seamless paper.

Day 5 {Last day of vacation}

Today was the last day of Christmas vacation and back to school in the morning after being off for two weeks.  The boys have been crazy for 2 weeks and I think they are finally worn out.  By 4 pm this is what they were doing!

Dylan passed out watching TV on the couch and Xander the NON napper lied there quietly with the remote not making a sound.  After 2 long weeks I finally got some peace and quiet. Ty was upstairs having his nap as well :)

Day 4 {Blueberry mess}

This was the day for missed photos.  I really should have gotten some pictures but by 9 am I was fuming and it lasted ALL day!  I came down to half a jar of blueberry all over my carpet.  A new rule was set that the boys have to stay in their room til I come downstairs in the morning ( they actually listened and did it this morning with the threat of locking them in if they don't!  LOL)  So I started my morning out cleaning jam from the carpet, floors , Tyler's feet and everywhere else.    Then I made the mistake of leaving my SD card in the card reader and found it on the floor 20 minutes later in three pieces.  An hour after that Dylan was sent to his room for biting Xander on the arm, something that started a few weeks ago and has progressively gotten worse. Total times he was sent to his room for biting that day?  4    So I was having a great day and wasn't really thinking about taking pictures of my misbehaving children.

So at 4:00 I realized I hadn't taken a picture yet and decided to head outside to the cold. I usually don't like to go outside with my camera since It's so COLD but it was only -14 c so I took my chance and bundled up.  I decided to get creative  (well as creative as I can be) and take some pictures of the frost on the trees.  I guess I have a bit of work to do when it comes to taking pictures of anything other than my kids but isn't that what this project is for?

Day3 { oh the blood}

It was an interesting day here in the Frappier household.  I discovered the night before that Ty was finally starting to cut one of his eye teeth and it was very purple and swollen.  I didn't really think much of it until the next day when Xander came into the kitchen screaming that Ty was bleeding!  So I run into the living room to find Ty with red all over his hands and belly.  I had no idea what is was and thought for a minute maybe he got his hands on the boys red paint since he wasn't crying or looking like he was in pain.  Then I remembered the tooth.......sure enough it had broke through and the purple on his gum was gone and a little tooth had appeared.  That explained the blood with out any tears :)


A few hours later I was sitting here and Ty suddenly started screaming......he had been playing with the boys and tried to climb on a chair and fell.  This time there was more more blood but it was accompanied by tears this time.  The poor kid had bit his lip and tongue and was once again bleeding from his mouth.  Nothing too serious or deep but that was an awful amount of blood for one day from one poor little kids mouth!  Here he is that night no worse for wear just a few little tooth marks in his bottom lip.

Day 2 {Day of Crafts}

The boys got a tonne of art supplies for Christmas and today Xander wanted to make the mosaic that Aunt Kelly gave him.  He had to take magic model clay and fill all the little squares up.  This literally took him ALL day!

 
 But he took his time and finished it by the time Bill got home from work that night, with just a little help from mom.  It is now proudly hanging in his bedroom :)

Day 1{Happy New year}

I am going to start a Project 365.  The goal.....take at least one picture everyday for an entire year!   I have no idea if I will find the time to actually do this but I will give it a try.  I am hoping that this will help me improve my skills and force me  to take pictures with some new angles and not just the kids :)


So here we go Day 1,  New Years Day.  After a long trip home New Years Eve and 8 hours in the van with two of the three children constantly fighting we headed out to Bill's parents house for New Years Day dinner.  The kids were cranky and tired after a long trip the day before, Dylan got there opened his Christmas presents from Nana and Papa and immediately fell asleep for the rest of the night without eating any dinner.

My picture for the day is of Xander and his cousin Holly.  They had lots of good play time since Dylan was sound asleep!
